The Story

Col-O-Lam Lamb Colostrum 1.5 kg

Col-O-Lam Lamb Colostrum can be used as a replacement or supplement for colostrum for lambs of sheep and goats.

Lamb colostrum is a natural and reliable alternative to colostrum with a high content of energy and protein. It provides the newborn lamb with immunoglobulins that protect the animal against infections. Lamb Colostrum should be administered to the lamb as soon as possible after birth (possibly with a lambing bottle). After sufficient intake of Lamb Colostrum, it can be switched to artificial milk or the lamb can continue to drink from the ewe.

Value pack sufficient for approximately 20 lambs.
The IgG1 content is 7%

Dosage:

Oral: 1 measuring scoop (50g) per 100ml of water. 50 grams is sufficient for 1 lamb.
Mixing: 50 grams of lamb colostrum is sufficient for 1 feeding of 140ml.

  • Measure 100 ml of water (40°C) in a measuring cup.
  • While mixing with a whisk, gradually add the colostrum powder to the water.
  • Continue mixing until the liquid is homogeneous.

Administer: 50 grams is sufficient for 1 lamb. The solution should be provided as soon as possible after birth. If possible, the Lamb Colostrum should be provided via a Teat or lambing bottle. If necessary, the lamb colostrum solution can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours. After storage, the solution must be remixed and warmed up to 40°C by placing the cup in warm water.

Supplementary feed for lambs: 76% protein, 8% fat, 3% ash, 8% lactose, 5% moisture.
