What is a DelvoTest®
A DelvoTest® is a test used in dairy farming to detect antibiotic residues in milk. It is a reliable and widely used method to check that milk is free of antibiotics before it is sent to dairies for further processing.
How does the DelvoTest®?
The DelvoTest® uses bacteria and a culture medium that are sensitive to antibiotics. A small amount of milk is added to a test tube containing these bacteria. If antibiotics are present in the milk, the bacteria will not grow, which is visually indicated by a change in color of the medium. If the milk is clean, the bacteria will grow, and the color will not change.
