The pH-PILL ensures that the rumen is back in balance. The bicarbonate increases the pH value in the rumen directly. Rumen acidosis occurs when the balance in the rumen is disturbed, for example due to a lack of structurally rich roughage or a too rapid increase in the amount of concentrated feed (beginning of lactation). Changes in the ration and heat stress can also cause rumen acidosis. As a result, the rumen can no longer function optimally.
